Have reason to believe HMS Lancaster will be visiting before the weekend.

Very good.

It's a pity the docks aren't as accessible as they used to be.  I recall rolling up beside some visiting warships and getting some nice pictures.  The bit of waste ground near Sainsbury's Holywood Exchange will probably be the best spot to view arrival/setting off.

Last known position of Lancaster was Lerwick in the Shetlands about 12 days ago.
Nothing on AIS since that, although it could be running quiet.

On royal navy Web page it says she's out on sea trials and last known position was alongside in Portsmouth

Hmm, frankly it could be anywhere. But Malone RFC Thirds are playing an HMS Lancaster XV tomorrow afternoon at Gibson Park!

Currently off the coast of Islandmagee - and one of her Wildcats is running down the Strangford coast?  Maybe he's going to land on her as she sails up Belfast Lough.... ;D

It's still out there worrying the ferries to Scotland :)
And the wildcat is Lynx ZZ396 HARP24 , although I can't get an exact position on it looks like it's landed on the back of Lancaster .

Think she's waiting on that BFO liner getting berthed.

Looks like it's berthing on the Herdman Channel just next to the roundabout at the entrance to Gotto Wharf (Northern Road) in case anyone wants a looksee :)

Anyways was anyone able to get a glimpse of HMS Lancaster today ? I forgot to take a spin round to see if I could on my way home from work. I'm assuming her wildcat will be tucked up in her hanger at present.

No but she looks to be tied up a bit on the seaward side of Pollock, which means as long as there's nothing else berthed in the way, good pics can be had from the opposite side of the channel.

That's if you can access the Docks - they are all secure now with end of Transition period and heightened imports checks etc.

I know it's pain in the rear end now especially at night when the stena docks I used to be able to nip round that way to avoid the back log at fortwilliam. But don't even try to venture in there either 2 boys in our warehouse decided to cut through by going under the barrier and we where all wondering why the harbour police where on site one morning . They seem to clamp down on anyone who shouldn't be down there.

Note from AT-I had to move a few posts from another thread, to this thread and some detail was lost. Sorry.

Elbe class fleet tender, A-511 FGS Elbe, currently at anchor off Bangor. She had come down from the ex area with the FS Cassiopée, but she's headed on south.
There's another 3 NATO vessels just approaching Islandmagee southbound, we'll see if they stop!
