RIAT 2017 (photo heavy)
« on: October 12, 2017, 05:15:58 PM »
Getting around to uploading my summer airshow pics. Only 2000 or so for RIAT weekend which took a while. Probably the best airshow experience of my life. Lighting and weather made for horrible photo conditions on the Saturday, especially the morning. The top photo was taken unaware the Spitfires & Hurricane had crept into the shot, it was lined up as a solo Lancaster shot lol.

 :goodjob:

Nice selection.

While it may not have been intended I definitely think the first pic works with the Hurricane & Spitfires in the background.

Did the B2 land or was it just a fly-by?

Thanks, B2 didn't land. It came all the way from America to do 2 flypasts and went back to America afterwards. Was done as crew training apparently.

Apparently there were 3 (3 were listed on the daily movements sheet) but only one came, the others went elsewhere.

Flight of 3, 2 f-15s and a single B-2 caused a bit of excitement when we saw the daily movements sheet, only ever the single B-2 :-(
