LUMAX? and LUNEX

Not sure if this is an appropriate use of this forum. Apologies it not!

I've been back home in the area since last summer. I've been listening to ATC and watching ADS-B out of curiosity. A couple of puzzles have arisen...

Ryan Air have recently started a service from MAN a few times a week. They identify on ADS-B as RUK849N (inbound to LDY) and RUK8491 (outbound), but with ATC, they identify as something that sounds like "LUMAX eight four nine November". Anyone know what LUMAX (or something like it) is? Google has failed to find anything for me.

Note that I'm not confusing this with the LUNEX hold, but that brings up my other mystery / trivia question; the other two holds are DUNGV and COLRE - pretty obvious! - but what does LUNEX stand for? I don't see anything on the map in that area that seems to fit...

There is a Lumax Trading Company with an Address in Limavady I came across, other than that there are several engineering and lighting companies using the name.

Yeah, I found things like that too, but nothing that seems to make sense for a Ryan Air plane identifier....

Going by Wikipedia Ryanair UK (RUK) should be using the callsign 'BlueMax'.

Indeed you are hearing the Ryanair UK callsign ‘BLUEMAX’. With regards to the naming of LUNEX, this was just a random word chosen from a list of 5 or 6 other possibilities at the time it was formed, it doesn’t hold any local significance such as COLRE being near Coleraine.

LDY will be getting new RNAV approaches later this year, so expect to possibly hear a few more new waypoints on the airwaves when you listen in to ATC.
