This flight will be operating again in the summer, but with none other than a B757! Should be a very nice sight in BHD.

You're kidding?!?! A 757 at BHD? Is that even possible these days? I wonder what the largest/heaviest aircraft to have operated into BHD is? BMI A321 and Shorts Belfast?

It is possible yes 22/04 is 6,001ft long while 17/35 at BFS is 6,204m long, the TCX 757 had a full load onboard the 757 to Egypt and was airborne with plently of room to spare, so hence why it would be alright at EGAC when the flight is shorter etc

Can we make sure the East Belfast residents don't hear about this!

I doubt very much it would be suitable to operate a B757 to operate into BHD.

At MTOW a 757-200 needs almost 9000ft.

With a smaller loading it maybe possible, but that would defeat the purpose of using a large aircraft in the first place.

Aircraft loading is dependent on several factors;pax, baggage and freight, fuel load, and weather conditions.

I think it would be unsafe to operate a 757 into BHD,the safty margins say for example in an aborted takeoff or landing would be very tight.

An A320 would be a much more likely.
