Those props look massive,not a bit of wonder they make such a racket,as the tips are at supersonic speed.

Props don't have to be large for the tips to go supersonic. Those on the DHC-2 Beaver and the T-6 Texan/Harvard do so at max power and full fine pitch.

Thanks I already know that,even the Breitling Stearmans prop tips do it,as do several prop aircraft,gives them a distinctive note-thanks for the info anyway. :)
