Hmm

Looks rather close to Chatham Dockyard

Might prefer it without the 'ripple'

My first thought was it was very British Airways too.

I actually had seen the pictures before the reveal this morning. At least one of the aircraft had been using the tail-fin in practice, however all photographers were asked not to post them publicly until the reveal was made today.

Erm.........looks half finished, and very like ye olde BA tail,I don`t think much of it.

I had seen a few mockups of possible designs, one had a half plan view of a Hawk and the union flag, the other had was similar but had a large RAF roundel-both were much better than this.

There is nothing wrong with it as such,it`s just lacking imagination and a bit dull.

Are the 'Arrows marks purely decorative or do they have a role as a formation aid?

I recall watching one of the documentaries about the Reds, and I think they do use parts of the livery to line up,they use all sorts of things for little reference points to maintain position in formation.

Reds are not going to Cyprus this year, they have chosen Greece instead for their training ahead of their PDA. No reasons given as yet, but this was from Red 10 during their first display practice today.

Probably because Cyprus based is where the tornado jets are based for flying over Iraq and it has become a busy airbase at present

More cynically, the Hellenic Air Force needs a replacement for its ancient Buckeye advanced trainers....

Red Arrows 2015 schedule will be out at the end of this coming week according to  Mike Ling(Red 10)

Some shows have already confirmed RAF involvement, so the other schedules should be out soon too for the Hawk T.2 Duo, BBMF, Typhoon, Falcons and Grob Tutor
