G-TDRA calling-up Belfast Control from the apron on Ards - impressive, I can barely receive the Belfast controller and I'm just a couple of miles up the road!

Sounds like they're heading on a wee day trip to the south-east.

Just saw this on BBC:
Quote
Northern Ireland Fire Service says it received a report at 11:20 BST that a two-seater light aircraft was involved in an accident on the [Newtownards] runway.

Looks like the new Cessna 152 N67302 is on the apron today (due to become G-UFCO in due course) plus G-EMAC R22 at the fuel pumps.

Snazzy, but another non-Mode-S 152.  It and UFCN are the 'silent fliers'.

There looks to be a Pioneer arrived on the main apron at 09:18 - it doesn't look like the based one

Since moved over to the fuel pumps and back, G-PION Pioneer 300 1st visit##  ;D

Ach I'd literally just left the airfield minutes before that PA28!

Probably G-STEA which I found in the logs upon returning home.  To 0 ft altitude at 10:33 UTC.

Oh gyro G-RTIN still here, just has Mode-S off.

Smudge Dog barking at it and Small Smudge quacking at it as if it is a duck.  Marvellous cacophony.

Dark red R44 or 66 at the pumps 12:46.

Actually I assume it's a 44 since the tanker didn't come out.

Actually in better light I think it's an R22, hence G-EMAC.  Stand-down the troops.

15:40 PA28 G-BNOP over Smudge and in for landing

Brief view through the lens showed the old BAe house colours!  Based at Warton with the company flying club.

Silent on Mode-S
