On a slightly different tangent, here's the wisdom of the Daily Fail on the cancellation of the UK 4th July celebrations. Go on, do your best to read it without rolling your eyes or laughing ....

Do we know the routing for arrival into BFS today? Any chance they'll be coming in over the city?

Hope this isn't a stupid question (and I probably am missing it) but what time are they due at Aldergrove today, is it 1628 hours as on their website?

Althought they are meant to land at Aldergrove at 4.28 local time,I would suggest anyone going up to see/photgraph them is ready at least 10-15 mins before they are due, just to be on the safe side.
That might sound obvious, but I would not want folk to miss out-they are very rarely late.

Runway 25 currently in use,and looks like it should stay that way until after dark-wind for tomorrow is a bit more difficult to predict;it would appear at the moment that wind would favour 07 up until 2pm-3pm then would slightly favour 25,but it`s assuming the forecast is correct.Certainly it looks like tomorrow is going to be very, very wet. :(

They had to hold a mile or two from Runway due to a EasyJet having a birdstrike on the touch-down zone of Runway 25. Now landed safely at BFS! :)

Couldn't make out the tower controller so that would explain the holding then. Always good to see them.

Thanks Callum-I could not figure out what was being said on the radio;they arrived in two groups 4 and 5,made a several turns a few miles out before finally running in,then a break to the right to land.
Light was not great for pics-loads of big grey clouds moaping around-30 mins earlier we had glorious sunshine-the weather is seldom kind to the Reds arrival at BFS.

No problem AT, was out about 20 mins before and there was blue sky right over the airfield and as it got closer to them arriving the cloud was taking over once again! :(

Only 9 of them? I thought they usually bring a 10th?

Caught a very slight glimpse of them (at least I think it was them, the times match) coming in over Ardglass direction when coming home from Downpatrick. Saw what looked like low flying jets for not even a second before my viewing was interrupted by a load of trees and a hill :(
