Lovely shots. Think there's a German AOR in too.

Someone should tell them they're a week early. Maritime Festival isn't until next weekend

Could it be this?  It was being towed very slowly out of Belfast this afternoon.

Two MCM-types slipped in past Donaghadee this morning around 05:00.  Sadly my ship ID skills are wholly inadequate :(

They were making 13 knots, here's one about to be passed by Stena Mersey clipping along at 22 knots.

Much to my embarrassment I think thatís exactly what I saw! Thatís up there with mistaking the Maidens for a submarine!

In addition to these two, there are 4 Leopard Class training ships from the French Navy moored on the north side of the Lagan
A748 "Leopard". A 750 "Jaguar". A 753 "Chacal" (Jackal). and A 754 "Tigre" . Half the entire French fleet of training ships apparently

More likely to have passed for MCM types than the Beckett right enough.

That's unusual as RN visits in the past were always minus the helo. I actually asked about this during a tour of the last RN frigate to visit Belfast and was told that when operating in 'home waters' RN ships don't carry helos. Instead the helis operate from shore bases, Yeovilton or Culdrose presumably when needed.

There were 3 patrol craft, HMS Example being one of them, moored behind the SSE Arena last night.
