EI-IGC was searching for a someone off a ship but after searching for about 25 minutes (correct me if I'm wrong) there was *potential* reports of him spotted on land and the search was called off and return to base. Will post photos later.

Heard on radio stood down after police were satisfied that there was no one in the water and that there was potential sightings of him on land.

Aha so that's what woke me.  Not an unpleasant sound but very penetrating.

EI-FAB has been working with a ship off the east coast this week. On the off chance, does anyone know which vessel this was? Thanks in advance.

Not confirmed but possibly supporting CLV Nexans Skagerrak which was positioned mid-channel for about 10 days.

Many thanks for that info. Yes I did think that too, although a friend who's involved with that particular operation tells me supply movements are completed when she's berthed alongside in port.  Ship operator had broad scottish accent, so that narrows it down a little... lol!  ;D
