Very sobering day. I'll always remember it because I started my current job the day before. Can still remember where I was, who I was speaking to and who came in to the room to tell us about the news.
Unfortunately have no idea of aircraft that diverted to BFS.

I had been working a night shift, and had just got home,my wife phoned me and said a plane had crashed into the World Trade Centre,so I assumed it was something small like a Cessna.
I turned on the TV to a scene I shall never forget,as I sat down a second aircraft hit,and I watched in disbelief as those terrible events unfolded in front of me.

I had just arrived home from school and my dad was watching it on tv. At first I thought he was watching a movie. Terrible day for America and the whole world. RIP to all who lost their lives

Was in my college class at the time. My internet started going very very slow. Then my (then) GF rang and said one of the towers had been hit by a plane. We went to the TV and watched, quite unbelievable at the time then the second one hit. Came home from class and stayed tuned to the news almost right through to the next day.

It was almost a feeling of 'this isn't real' from what I remember.

My then GF worked for an aircraft company and a few of her fellow workers were stuck on the ground on their plane in Gander for something like 2 days afterwards.

I was in my grandmother's house doing a market research survey which my grandmother had agreed to take part in and then was unable to understand ...

TV in the corner was on but turned down, saw the newsflash, turned the volume up and watched stunned for a couple of minutes until the guy doing the survey tried to get me to go back to it.  I can't tell you exactly what I said to him, but he called back about a week later to get the specs he'd left behind.
