US Navy F/A 18 Hornet crash in Rainbow Canyon.

A US Navy F/A 18E Super Hornet has crashed in Rainbow Canyon USA,also known as Jedi Canyon, Death Valley.
The aircraft crashed close to the observers carpark, and their are reports of injuries to those on the ground.News on the pilot says there condition is currently unknown, which does not sound good.

The aircraft was on a training flight and belonged to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 151 based at Naval Air Station Lemoore, California.

UPDATE...The pilot has been confirmed dead by the US.Navy. Seven members of a French family were slightly injured when the aircraft hit the canyon wall.

Pilot has been named as 33 year old Lt.Charles Z Walker.
