Can someone confirm that Jet2 have installed winglets on their B737-300 aircraft? I got a pic of G-GDFL which according to FR24 is a B737-300 in a Jet2 Holiday livery and had winglets attached.

Well spotted. I think they bought second-hand with the winglets. Probably well appreciated for the longer holiday routes.
Edit: ha, they barely bothered to repaint it either. Previous identity:

Thanks Smudge! I thought they'd start retiring the -300 series rather than trying to improve them and replace them with the -800 series which I thought they already started doing since most of their fleet is over 20 years old.

Jet2 G-GDFN also made an appearance on one of the G8 arrival morning's, also sporting the Holiday scheme (which ironically is similar to Allegiant Air's livery). It previously operating for Air Baltic. I just looked at the Jet2 fleet listing and am somewhat surprised to see that they have 32 737-300's in their fleet currently, along with 9 737-800's and 11 757's. :o I didn't realise they had grown this much.

what are they like to fly with, other than being constantly late ?

I flew with Jet2 in 2010 Belfast to Toulouse, which was better than any Ryanair flight I've been on and on par if slightly better than Easyjet. Bearing in mind it was one return flight during a busy holiday period. Toulouse was a breeze to go through, pity they (Jet2) didn't keep that flight going!

Thanks for the addition info AERTANK :)
Zag23, I last flew with them in 2011 BFS-BLK but missed the return flight due to long security lines at BLK, was at the scanners when the captain told the ground we were too late but I was pleased as in the end a ride with Manx2 took me home, my first time onboard a Let410 and a pleasant one too!
