Very nice! Thank you for sharing.
Poor old G-TOPO, wish I had money and a pilot's license and I could save him!
I particularly like the microlights all packed-up in their hangar.

I thought that more would have been out, but we were there at 9.45 am, and only stayed for an hour. But as usual staff at Ards great.
-
There's my girl - G-UFCM! ;)
Nedrick, if you're looking for some more pictures, there's a fly-in this Sunday. 8)

He's right, you know!
Have lunch from a selection of specials in our Cloud Nine restaurant. If the sun is shining we will definitely light the BBQ. Bring your own bottle. Camping on the airfield is also available.
Is it just for pilots and their folk? No more info on the site.

Edit: found a wee bit more. Seems to be a social meet for pilots.

Fly-ins at Ards are usually open to anyone to view, but its best to ask if you want to take photos, normally not a problem.
-
As AT says, it's usually open to anyone - There shouldn't be a problem, seeing as you're in Ards Smudge, if you're thinking about going to get some pictures, go for it! :)
Next Sunday we are having our second summer fly-in. All pilots and visitors are most welcome.

Thanks guys. I will try to make contact with the Club first though, given prior experiences.
-
Thank you all.

I didn't hear back from the Club and there's nothing active in the circuit now ( 11:00 ) so I'll poddle down later this afternoon and see what's happening.
Nothing much on the Apron Webcam either. I wonder if it was cancelled? Doubtful given the calm weather.

Nope, definitely not cancelled:

I'd say to head down about 1:30-2:00 (However, camping being mentioned in the above quote might imply that its an evening fly-in) and see whats going on, let us know if you get down anyway! :)

It's a go go

I did some work between eating!
-
How'd it go? Assume it was deemed a success? :)

It was a success, not as many visiting aircraft as hoped, about 10 I think. There appeared to be plenty of picture taking going on
