Anyone know the exact name for this? I'm assuming it's part of the helos defenses

Thanks for that. Looks like they may be chaff dispensers. But I'll take that with a pinch of salt when you consider so of the other contents of that page:

British Aerospace / Vickers BAV-20 Rail Gun
Enfield / Solaris LMG-60 Squad Automatic Pulse Laser Rifle

More science fiction I think :)

Yes,i thought parts of the text were a bit 'iffy' myself.

Not sure if they are the chaff dispensers,or the Infra Red sensors to trigger them.I don't really read much about all the gizmos that are installed on military aircraft.

Yea the more I look at it there doesn't seem to be any 'holes' to eject the chaff :)

i think it's an ecm rather than a chaff system
