Hi
Just wondering what plans everyone has for 2014
I'm heading to legends and riat with a visit to Cosford Hendon and lakenheath on the cards on a 4 day visit
Over to you
-
Most likely just Newcastle at this point. Maybe Portrush if they get a good line up in their revamp.
Would love to get over to one of the big ones in England. But just don't see it happening next year.
-
Whoops meant to mention Newcastle as well.
-
I fancy something sedate and atmospheric for a change.
Perhaps a balloon fiesta, Old Warden or an aerobatic competition for 2014.
I missed a vintage glider fly-in this year; that would have been great!
-
I would like to go to Waddington and tour around the airbases, old and current in Lincolnshire and East Anglia.
Would also like to go to Fairford again.
-
Had intended to do Waddington next year but prefer to squeeze in two shows in one weekend to save two trips.
Legends and Yeovilton were this year and riat the year before. Thought both were excellent and will definitely try Yeovilton again..
Too many shows not enough time or money!!!!!!!
-
Yevoilton is yet another one I would like to see,the airfield attack with all those helis looks spectacular from video I have seen.
-
Was rather impressed with Yeovilton last year.
Access to and from show was great - no delays whatsoever. On base at 8.20 and stayed to the finale. Static was a bit sparse and poorly fenced off for photos but the display was excellent.

Hopefully next year it will happen the same weekend as another show so I can squeeze both in over one weekend as usual.
Accomodation now booked for RIAT and Legends - just waiting for flights dates to be released.
-
Ticket booked and received for Legends. Wasnt expecting it so soon.

5 weeeks ago I had , what the hospital described as , a pretty major heart attack and it makes you realise how delicate this "mortal coil" really is , so 2014 , health and funds permitting I,m going to try and fit in as many of the major [and some minor] shows as I can.
-
I'm glad you're back on your feet ni_gaz!
-
Sorry to hear that gaz
Hope you are well and on the mend

Everything sorted now. Tickets bought flights and accommodation arranged. Plan is Cosford on Friday. Riat Saturday. Legends sunday and probably hendon on Monday.
Still debating riat for friday as well and somewhere different for monday maybe Bruntingthorpe or shuttleworth. Decisions decisions.
-
Nearly sure Bruntingthorpe is only open to public on Sundays from 10am. If you do go don't forget
the single Green Hanger on right just up from enterance, a couple of Lightning to be found, visable
through gaps in doors.
Pat.

Well that makes my decision a bit easier
Didnt notice that when on the site. Was too busy looking to see what airframes they had.
Thanks Pat :goodjob:
