Irish Coast Guard S92 just went over low and fast at Newcastle , looked like he was coming from Aldergrove direction.

our dog doesnt know this new engine sound yet !!  the S61 used to be in Newcastle fairly regular and once he heard it he would automatically look skyward for it :)  the 92 has been over here twice recently but not on a s&r and the dog hasnt batted an eyelid  LOL

Probably for the best!  An S-92 would scare the dog and babies too.  I still don't understand how Sikorsky designed such a horribly mis-proportioned helicopter.

Quite a shock from a company that brought us the S-65 and S-76, both gorgeous to my eyes.

I`m glad I`m not the only one that thinks the S-92 is a bit of a bogbeast. ;)

14:50 EI-ICR went north past Ards, to the west, about 4000 ft so presumably back around the City now.  I see him reporting 2000 ft
