If only we had something similar at airshows here. I love the noise of those over powered RR engines. By the way, im surprised the wings didn't fall off :)

The B757 is an amazing aircraft-extremely impressive climb rate-especially minus passengers.
I have a video of a Victor bomber doing a half loop and roll out at Farnborough in the 1960`s :o
Apparently the technique was developed to "throw" the bomb and then turn round ASAP.
I don`t know if it`s on the internet anywhere.

I believe it was called 'Toss Bombing'

I didn`t want to use that phrase for fear of smutty retorts ;)
To see a Victor doing a half loop is mighty impressive-recall an F-111 doing a spiral climb at the end of its display at Newtownards mid 80`s-that was amazing ;D

Ah now we're all adults here :)

A F-111 in Northern Ireland - wish I'd seen that.

The early shows at Ards usually had some USAF aircraft-I recall F-111,F-4 Phantom,A-10`s,C-23 Sherpa-I have photos but they`re not best quality.
If I get a chance soon I will scan them and post them in the gallery.

I can recall A-10s and the C-23 (have photos of them too) but never a F-111, but then I didn't get to many shows in the 80s.
