A British passenger plane flying from Gatwick airport to Egypt was diverted to Brindisi airport in Italy after a bomb threat was found scrawled on a sick bag.
But police now believe it was a false alarm, with Salvatore de Paolis, the Brindisi border police chief, saying: "The alarm has been called off."
