Title: Viewing Gallery = Aldergrove

BFS have confirmed to me that the viewing gallery will, once again, be open - LANDSIDE - sometime over the next few months.  I am not sure one will get to it though considering the domestic baggage area is now classed as airside and has restricted access.

The viewing gallery should be opening soon. Poss within a few weeks.

The Glass wall that makes the domestic arrivals hall airside is due to be removed next week making that area landside again. This were the entrance to the viewing gallery was before, so in theory once the wall is removed the viewing gallery should be accessible to all as this will make it landside again.

Watch this space!!!

Does anyone know why the glass wall was installed in the first place? 
I had assumed that it was due to security regulations, but it its being removed then that cant be the case.

Oh, and in a recent Press Release BFS stated that they would continue with terminal improvements.
Does anyone know what they have planned?

@BelfastAirport: Hi Folks, please be advised that the Viewing Gallery @BelfastAirport is now closed to facilitate some works in the Business Lounge #avgeek

No details on how long for, but might save someone a wasted trip?

I find the best place to spot from is out walking beside the tug on Taxi way Lima  ;)

There is quite a bit of work on at the moment within the terminal - I'll keep an eye out for any updates and report back  8)

Viewing gallery reopened the night before the Lounge opened. :)

Even better taxiway bravo wen they land hard to come off at it!!
