Hi folks,
I am going to London this weekend, flying into Stanstead and home via Gatwick North.
Anyone have any tips on good locations for spotting at either airport, I have built in some time to enjoy before onward journeys.
Thanks in advance as always,
Alastair

For Gatters, there's a cracking view of inbounds' bellies from the pedestrian trail wedged between London Road and the Railway, just visible in the trees here:

View to the east is clear over car parks but to the west the actual touch-down is obscured by perimeter walls.
If the winds favour you, it'd be a great view of outbounds tucking-up their gear. Always a better photo!
Walkable from the terminal. But perhaps not the warmest spot in the middle of January :)

Gatwick is undergoing lots renovation at the moment - The aerlingus business lounge has closed, they are in what they call Gen2 of the security upgrade and a lot of the shops are being moved about.
For anyone availing of the cheap Ryanair flights, the best views seem to be from the Wondertree restaurant. Burgers £12-16
