Now here's how to do a new livery!  WOW's first liveried A321, lovely inversion of the A320 scheme.

http://planecrazy.sk/photos/civilne-lietadla/wow-air-a321-tf-mom-3151

I might have placed the WOW farther aft on the fuselage so that it was more visible, but it's still stunning.

Now imagine if Transavia had done an all-over livery with their bright green...

Oh dear, that`s yet another glacier white clad airliner-the blue underbelly was a bit odd,but a handy recognition tool.

So Alitalia couldn't bear being left out of the Bland New Livery Club :(

Oh!  Apparently Alitalia have bought a job-lot of 'pearly white'.

Quote
The fuselage, in an elegant pearl-white color, adds a dash of style and sophistication, while the concept of speed is evoked in a refined way through a series of white lines extending as far as the vertical stabilizer.

http://www.alitalia.com/it_en/news/nuovo-brand-4giugno.html#

At least they now have a belly logo to make overflight photos more interesting!

Actually doesn't look half-bad... hmm.  I may have to eat my hat.

So Mrs Smudge has worked-out the actual colour of the new Alitalia 'creamy' fuselage, it is 'carbonara sauce'..

New Transaero livery.

A little bit from American, a little from BA and, uh , not much else.

New Cyprus Airways scheme, not very adventurous but I quite like it in terms of Mediterranean colour palette:

But what I really like is the mural on the hangar wall with a Cyprus Trident departing!

Fair play to Jet Blue for trying a 'retro' livery but it's a bit of a mess

https://worldairlinenews.com/2016/11/11/jetblue-officially-introduces-its-1960s-retrojet/

I think it's the tail that ruins it for me, it just doesn't look '60s'.  And I'm not sure what the golden cheatline is about...

Anything livery that isn`t 99% white is usually fine by me.

I think this looks pretty good actually-the lettering font on the tail was popular in the USA during the 60`s,I would give it a 7/10.

"Our brand new livery evokes the natural beauty and striking landscapes of our great nation."

The colours I most associate with Canada ( other than flag-red ) are the dark-brown and turquoise-blue of the northern tundra that slides past for hours on trans-Atlantic flights.

That is dull, mind you Air Canada`s scheme has always been rather dull,so perhaps it`s wrong to expect anything else.

ANA have selected the winner of a competition for a livery on their first A380;

Ugh what a mess.  First B38M in Air Canada's latest livery.

Might have actually looked half-decent in the old toothpaste colours as in the original renderings:

Obtained by a Smudge Spy from a post on Facebook, a sneak look at FlyBE's new lilac-and-white livery on DH8D G-JECP.  Cheaper than the purple for the still-in-white aircraft I suppose.

So the immediate response from Aer Lingus is "it's not blue, it's teal".

Teal is, of course, a shade of blue obtained by adding 30% green.

What is wrong with the Emerald Green ? That looks like a green that has faded in the sunlight.

United have revealed their new livery recently, not exactly a show stopper, and the gold has gone.
