Post by: String on May 09, 2009, 10:11:21 AM: it is hard to use the trripod when you aren't ready for the plane to arrive. so i hand hold, but if i had a scanner i could set the tripod up so i could get better stable pictures. even though it has steady shot if you zoom in it gets very shakey.

Battery was only £20 np-fh70
And scanner was £10.95 Icon-3 Multiband Radio CB FM TV-1 AIR PB Marine WB bands.
so i'm sorted for airshow.

Was in RAF aldergrove over the weekend, seen a puma and a few gazelles, right over our head. Woke in the middle of the night to a puma running its engines then taking off...didnt see much though..the majority of helicopter activity is during the night now..

It was quite high when i fist saw it then it started to turn then it came round again, so i had the time to set the tripod up. got a bit lucky this time.

There is no sound on this video because someone is cutting grass with a petrol lawnmower so it spoiled the sound.
