RoyalNavy are celebrating 100 years of navy flight.
Portrush has been selected as the one of the official Fly Navy 100 events.
Nice video here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8035230.stm

No chance of a Harrier flypast this year ;D ;D
-
That would be GREAT.
But i don't think it will happen.
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Well, Portrush is one of the very few official events so there is always a chance....but not even a hint at the moment! Sometimes though, like the Nimrod last year, you get a call 3 days before the show, so we'll keep hoping....
-
Do you know if the older planes like the world war I bi-planes are available to display because they were great the last time they appeared.

What other events are listed as official?

Very nice video. Looking at the size of the UK carrier fleet to that of the US Navy it's hard to believe that most of the things that we take for granted on a carrier - Catapults, landing system were developed by the Royal Navy.
