Title: Low level in Wales
Post by: Paultojo on July 26, 2015, 09:26:32 AM

Spent a couple of very enjoyable if slow days on my annual pilgrimage to the Loop on my way back from Fairford

Day one was an Apache and one Hawk which passed us as we walked down the Bwlch

Great shots, Paul. First time I've seen anyone post Apache photos from there.

Nice Paul as always.  But it's the uncertainty and lack of regularity that would be the death of me ......

Sitting around for hours waiting for one Tornado to come through isn't my cup of tea - even if the photographic results are superb.  Especially if there's a climb involved.  What with a gammy leg and all .....

Nevertheless the videos and stills I've seen show what a superb location it is when the right kit comes along.

After 11 days of airshows, air bases and airports the peace and quite of a couple of days up a Welsh mountain is very therapeutic, the walk to where these shots were taken took no more than 15 minutes

But you have to be prepared to bag nothing, although we new the Tornado and Apache where both due and what time.

I really want to go some day but as stated previously its the chance of seeing nothing or very little may kill me.

It's very relaxing sitting doing nothing

The Satnav took us along the road through Mach Loop to Swansea when we went there on holidays and back again but nothing appeared I were kurshing the empty air space under my breath after telling my Mah Dah and 2 sisters what they were going to see once I knew where I was that was 2011 I see more over my house
