It seems one or two members contribute some photos towards the jetphots.net database and hopefully with time, a few more photographers will join the ranks of this site.
As of yet, there is no spotting group dedicated to Northern Irish Aviation, hence I propose one is made up. I have talked to one or two N.I. photographers from jetphotos who are not actually familar with this site and the general concencus towards the making of a spotting group is positive.
The following information is required to start up a spotting group over at JP.net;
The subject must contain CREATE SPOTTING GROUP: [Group'īs name]
- Description of the group. Please elaborate a bit, not just We are a groups of friends.
- Group's webpage (Optional)
- Group's contact email (optional)
- A logo of the group. Very important. It must be a JPG which its size should not exceed 25kb in filesize. It also should not exceed in 200 pixels wide and 100 pixel in height.
- The usernumber of the to admin's and full name. Each admin must have a least 100 photos in the database.
I was thinking if this website was to change names, the name could be used as the spotting group name, e.g. Dalesplanes or NIaviation. It would be ideal promotion for the website as there are a good few folk from N. I. whom regularly surf jetphotos.net.
Would anybody have any suggestions for the group logo, keeping in mind it must be 200 pixels wide and less than 100 in height.

Give me a day or 2 and I'll see what I can come up with :)
Have you requested the creation yet?
-
I havn't put in a request yet, I'm just waiting until I get all the details together. It'll probably be next week by the time I get most of the things sorted :)
-
Dave are you going a head with this?
-
Yea, I have been meaning to work something up, I just havn't had the opportunity yet due to work. I just need to get some sort of group image ready and then everything else should be easy enough to handle.
On a side note, 99 members now on the site. Not bad! Lets hope the numbers keep increasing.

I have just been messing around and produce some samples of spotting group logo's. Is there any particular one that stands out? I personnaly perfer the the font of the last two.

Just incase you thought I had forgotten about this, I have been getting some other possible spotting logos made up to give more of a choice. I can't believe I hadn't thought about it before but the logo should include a Shorts 330 or Shorts 360!

Looking Good Casper. I will have to start into writing a short description of the spotting group. Paul Harvey is still up for forming the group which will be good as he's a great photographer. So it should only be a matter of time before the group is up and running :) Sorry for any delays
-
Nothing to be sorry about :) We all have our own lives - I understand that ;D ;D

Well finally the NIaviation spottering group has been set up on jetphotos.net :) Will start inviting new members now. Just click on the link below to see any new photos from the members :)
