One of the RAF's most famous units is celebrating its 90 th birthday. 207 Squadron which is now based at RAF Linton-on-Ouse began life in the Royal Navy Air Service being formed in November 1916 under the guise of number 7 Squadron. Its name changed upon joining the RAF which formed in 1918.
