Title: Pilot raids bar to pay for BA flight

The captain of a British holiday flight had to use his own money and raid the plane's bar takings to pay fees demanded by African airport bosses before they would allow the aircraft to leave.



Captain John Lawrence, taking a First Choice Airways jet back to Bristol, had to find around £2,000 for officials at Dakar airport in Senegal.
