While out dog walking this evening at the Downhill I ended up with a rather unusual visitor at the Mussenden Temple when Sikorsky S-61N EI-RCG ‘Rescue 118’ touched down there. The SAR helicopter had been tasked to the area to help in the search for two missing boys but just as it arrived on scene the two boys were located. However, the position of the boys who were trapped in a cave, was such that with three lifeboats also involved it took a few hours to get them out. The helicopter sat with rotors running ready to winch them onboard. Once the two causalities were onboard it was then a brief flight to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

I was standing talking to the winchman looking at a beautiful red/white helicopter with blue skies for a backdrop, excellent light, Mussenden Temple in the background an no camera!!! In my defence I had arrived in the girlfriends car.
