Supprised that nobody here mentioned that there was a open day on Saturday...http://www.worldairpics.com/forum/index.php?topic=1843.msg16108#new

It wasn't even posted on their website.

Is UAS and NIAG one and the same?
From what i've read it's a members only clique - how you get accepted as a member is the mysterious bit though.
-
No the UAS have been established since the late 1960`s and are a registered charity set up to promote local interest in Aviation-however in the past few years the Society has been thrown into disarray because they are almost unable to admit the public to the small collection of aircraft they have-this is despite finally managing to secure some Lottery funding.
The NIAG are a group of enthusiast's that I believe meet at the Holywood boat club and other venues-they are by invite only for reasons which I fail to understand.

Thank you for the swift reply Angry Turnip.
Invitation only eh?I wonder what criteria one has to meet in order to be honoured with such an invite? ::) ::)

I believe it was invite only so not an 'open day' as such. I do hope they can open to the public sometime soon :(
