Thrilled to hear this as I'm from Londonderry :D

Thomson returning next June to Palma flights operated by ASL Airlines I think.

Great news I'm hoping to go to Portugal next year from eglinton

Some bad news from Ryanair today for LDY. Stansted and Faro is being dropped and Liverpool is going to just 2 times a WEEK!
So Ryanair will only do 5 Weekly Glasgow flights and 2 weekly Liverpool flights.

Eeek, sounds like the end could be near for Eglington-that`s really bad news for them. :(

Stansted and Faro are rumoured to be announced from BFS with RYR for S17.

I suppose that would make sense.
Perhaps Flybe would be interested in operating some routes from LDY? :-\

Hopefully don't want to see the airport close.

Would be curious to know what kind of loads those routes were generating.
It was always hard to see anyone in the south & east of the country using it for flights given that what you save in airfare you're spending on fuel to get to the airport and the fact that Aldergrove, City and Dublin were easier to get to.
