West Atlantic has been awarded a contract by Royal Mail Group (UK) to add additional aircraft to its network in 2017. The contract, which commences in January 2017, will run for a duration of five years and will consist of nine Boeing 737s and three British Aerospace ATP aircraft.

Not sure if this has anything to do with BFS and if it may effect Jet2 or Titan operations.

Sounds to me like the way out for Jet2 and Titan.
The 8 to 21 tonne range takes care of all the domestic trunk services, leaving only the 3.3 tonne band for the Scottish Highands & Islands. So if West Atlantic are the sole provider as stated then I think they'll be on the Belfast runs from the end of January.

G-CELZ B737-300QC flew for the last time today to Kemble. Heard a few more B733s are going this winter so G-CELW must be joining G-CELZ. Both where built the same year.

Final Jet2 / Titan flight dates not yet set but likely to be second week of January.
Hey, perhaps they could slot them for 9th January and we could dispose of United on the same day.

Wonder is Titan still looking at the ex BA G-DOCY 734 that was being converted into a freighter in Miami?
-
Any update when West Atlantic is taking over the Royal Mail contact? And if it will affect Jet2 and Titan?
-
I think it is the week sometime and Jet2 will no longer be doing the mail flights
-
Thanks for the info! :)

Should be delivered soon but I don't know what Titan are going to do with it; perhaps lease it out to ASL?

1340 routing Keflavik to Stansted (presently over Scotland):

G-POWP B734F will operate this evenings STN/BFS/STN Mail run.
It will be the primary aircraft for the AWC02A/B/C/D from today onwards.

Titan apparently staying on the mail route until July or August, whilst West Atlantic source more freighters.
Should be able to catch some Summer evening shots of G-POWP. Deploy the Turnip!
