After 24 years of operating under franchise agreements with other airlines, Glasgow-based Loganair has announced that it will start flying under its own name.
The airline, a franchise of Flybe since 2007, will commence independent operations on September 1 2017, promising to bring “a new, definitively Scottish identity to the skies
It is yet to be revealed quite what that Scottish identity will entail. However, today’s announcement was accompanied by an artist’s impression of the airline’s new livery – emblazoned with “Scotland’s Airline” on its side, and a tail covered in red and black tartan

Looks similar to the now defunct Scot Airways/Suckling Airways, which was bought by Loganair in 2011,but traded as it`s own brand until fully intergrated with Loganair in 2013.

Loganair will have a pair of their 13 SF34s ( G-LGNM and NN ) converted to freighters.

Always good to see more freighters, but with the 340 forming the core of their fleet I wonder what Loganair's long-term plan is for renewal. Not many choices for 35-seat turboprops nowadays. Perhaps Sukhoi could promote the Su-80, it also uses CT7 engines.

Freshly-freighterised SF34 G-LGNN first in the new livery.

Imagine via Twitter but I haven't found the original photographer as yet.
