Radio Ulster reported that there will be a Harrier "somewhere" today as part of a tribute to a WW2 airman.
10 points for the first spot....
-
Don't you just hate those criptic clues :)

harrier on 130.850 ATC
Somewhere in the downpatrick area not above 500 feet!
Listening out
-
Just spotted it flying LOW over Waringstown in County Armagh.
Did 2 runs over the town and then headed Portadown direction, literally about 1 minute ago.

From BBC News
The ashes of a pilot who fought in the Battle of Britain are being scattered on Lough Erne in County Fermanagh.
Wing Commander Ken MacKenzie died in June at the age of 92. A RAF Harrier GR9 is to stage a flypast as the Belfast man's ashes are scattered.
Bit too far away unfortunately, but hoping that he might call in to EGAA..............
-
I am monitoring 130.850 & 128.500 for any signs of him
Nothing on the SBS :(

Excellent.... So he has coasted in around Downpatrick and is heading across to Enniskillen.
(He 'may' choose to re-fuel at St.Angelo unfortunately)

Cottismore 04 Harrier, has done his flyby and is on with Aldergrove Approach back to Downpatrick at low level, in 7 minutes, where he will pull up from 500 feet to FL330
-
Just flew back over Waringstown. Nearly blew the roof off the house!
-
Cottismore 04 now in the climb to FL250
.......And the most important bit..... when he got handed over to Scottish 123.775, he told ATC:
"See you again on Friday"

You know, I wish there was! Can't think of a better story to tell the insurance people on the phone ;D "Hello, yes, a harrier jump jet just blew the roof of my house, am I covered?"
-
And their reply would be.........
"Sorry sir, your insurance schedule says in paragraph 14.3 sub-section (ii), Acts of G.O.D. (Gr9 Over Detached property) not covered"
:)
(...actually, do they NEED an excuse not to pay out these days?)
-
I can confirm that this aircraft was indeed scattering ashes, just heard this in the last fifteen minutes at work. As I have posted in the `Aldergrove Handover ` forum, 4 harriers will be doing a flypast at the handover ceremony/ battle of Britain parade this Sunday.
