Title: Norwegian Long Haul announcement tomorrow
Post by: TCX49 on February 22, 2017, 04:38:31 PM
BFS, ORK, SNN and DUB to Stewart International Airport is meant to be announced tomorrow at a press release in Cork. Not sure Boston (T. F. Green Airport) is included?

Pretty tight for a vanilla 737-800 ( Boeing still-air range: 2,935 nm with 162 seats ).

Unless they're planning to launch with an 800 MAX ( 3,515 nm ) but they'll only receive a handful of them this year.  Though clustering them all in Ireland would be one solution.

Cork might be the base and then fly W-patterns to the others?

Yes, the route will be operated by a 737-8 Max.

Tenner says that you'll see Stacey from Lisburn on UTV Live within the next 18 months, wearing her tiara and crying because she's going to miss her honeymoon.  ::)

Well the £69 is obviously BALIX * but still better news than I expected.

Next; Westjet to Canada?  I'd go for that.

Really guys??? No comments on the choice of airports?

Let's hope Stacey and Tracey are not planning on getting an onward flight .
Choice is pretty poor ... Detroit, Philly and a few Floridian ones - Nothing west coast, Canada or central America.

And public transport into Manhattan seems to be "challenging"

Maybe they could vacation at the local tourist attraction - SplashdownBeach in the (in)appropriately named nearby town of Fishkill, NY.
