Small Smudge and I visited the Land-Sea-Air building of the Transport Museum today, my first visit there in a very long time.
The SC.1 is still there, and the battered 330 nose, but where are the partial-Sealand and the McCandless gyros? Hidden away in a shed?
Unfortunately there were no staff on hand to ask, just the contract security guys.
Small Smudge was disappointed not to find a gyro, after watching the one at Ards last week.

I received a reply from the museum staff.
One of the McCandless gyros is in storage and the other has been withdrawn from display for 'conservation work'. Reading between the lines I think it had suffered cumulative-poking-damage over the years.
For reference the two they hold are:
Mark 2 G-ARTZ
Mark 4 G-ATXX ( this was the one on display until recently )
