Title: When Chapman met Rutan
Post by: smudge on December 06, 2017, 09:56:17 PM
One of those odd corners of history into which I frequently stumble.

Colin Chapman, of Lotus motors, commissioned Burt Rutan to design an ultralight to use the four-stroke aero-engine developed by the company.

After Mr Chapman's death in 1982 through 'odd' circumstances the development continued but eventually changed-hands and petered-out in the mid-1980s in a quagmire of legalities.
