As I was driving through Crumlin this evening at 1710 approx,I heard what sounded like a Hawk taking off from Runway 25-didn`t see it unfortunatly, but pretty sure it was a Hawk-probably over from RAF Valley.
Anyone else see/hear it?

Two possible`s from SBS info XX317 or ZK022.
Sometimes military aircraft don`t use a squawk code and nothing showed up on SBS at the time I heard the aircraft, however the other 2 mentioned Hawks had been on SBS earlier in the day.
Any additional info would be helpful.

I heard what i thought (at the time) was a Mil aircraft leave 128.5 for Scottish yesterday evening - using the callsign 'Victor46' and climbing to FL90.
The only aircraft showing on my SBS at that height was a King Air,so i assumed it was that (and deleted my post).
I don't have 'Victor' listed as a mil callsign which didn't help matters either. No Hawk appeared on my screen, but no doubt that is what we heard.

I noticed the King Air as well but it was a bit later-it was G-CDFY.
Must not have been given a squawk or maybe the SBS didn`t pick it up?
I know SBS can`t pick up all military traffic.

No - the King Air i'm on about was G-KVIP.
Possible that the Hawk didn't have its transponder on - i still hear the odd Gazelle on the radio, which doesn't appear on my SBS - even though it is quite close by.
Hope you enjoy the 'black box' 8)

I didn`t notice the other King Air-oops, it was showing at 1724 on the list I saw so I knew it was too late and not the correct aircraft type.
I don`t own a SBS,I just use a site that publishes results from are approx area-I think it is actually based in Isle of Man as it lists some aircraft coming from there and Dublin and Northern England

Hear anything this evening Angry?
I had 'VICTOR55' on 128.5 a few minutes ago - but the only jet on SBS was a B461 (ZE700) from the Royal Flight.
Edit: 'VICTOR55' is a Valley Hawk.I will add this to my callsign list. :D

I was just getting home from work around then, and did hear something that sounded like a mil jet.
I live near the approach to R25 so sometimes the sound gets distorted a little by the time it reaches me:freighters are very distinctive between 2000 an 2100,the A300`s and the 767 have a pronounced whine when taxiing. 8)
