Title: Belfast City - 03/12/09
Post by: kingsavo on December 03, 2009, 11:29:33 PM
Had a few hours to spare this morning and as it was sunny decided to go down for what turned out to be quite a busy morning!

It was freezing and now I'm dying with the cold but really wanted to get a few pics up here so these aren't edited in too much detail. A quick crop, levels if needed and one quick pass of USM at 50,0.4,0.

(If anyones interested, all these shot with Nikon D40 and 55-200mm VR on Apperature Mode set to f8.0 ISO 200)

The message on the Ryanair is a cheap and tacky jibe >:( at Sky Europe airlines that went bust recently.

The nose on the Flybe is a repair job, probably as a result of a bird strike or hailstones.

Awesome photos, I love the morning lighting!!! Just stunning! What times were you there between to catch all those aircraft? I've not seen that many aircraft at BHD for ages!

By the way Ryanair have had the BYE BYE SKYEUROPE logo for long before the airline actually went bust. They have several other logos featuring other airlines but I agree, not good taste at all. I'd rather they went back to having special liveries on their aircraft like their Boeing 732 logo jets.

Ah yes I've seen pics of the Vodafone and the Hertz 732s and they looked great! And while on the subject how long until flybe does a special scheme for an E195?!

I was there from about 08:50 to get that light. All 4 of my A.net uploads have been from that time of the morning!

HI excellent series of shots in nice light well done. It's a good job you made a decent show of these as you might have heared "your fired" I believe G-SIRS - Amsair Cessna 560XL Citation Excel Aircraft is owned by one Alan Sugar.

His Embraer ERJ-135 G-SIRA has also been in the city.

Beautiful lighting and a nice selection of something different (at least for me) at the City.

Ahhh a good day for contrail spotting!

1. Looks like a United 767
2. Austrian 767 with recently retrofitted 11 foot winglets.
3. BA 747

The other two look like Air France :)
