I wonder if it flew in the direction of Lurgan. I can't remember the exact time but I can remember seeing a 4 engine heavy overhead this afternoon. Couldn't get a good look at it as I was busy :(
-
Ahhh great catch. Now that Air France have their first a380, the bird will be making an appearance more often over us. Congrats on the first sighting of it, hopefully there will be many more!

Hi Guys
I use the Radarbox and have this tagged so he has been across here daily from last Monday Callsign is Airfrance 06 and 07 on the return leg. He has been overhead NI at around 2.15pm to 2.30pm. His track today Casper was from North of Blackpool across the IOM and then overhead me here in Bangor. He coasted out over Portrush. On Saturday he was closer to Lurgan.
I'll try when not at work to give a heads up when he is in our neck of the woods.

Thanks for the heads up John, I'll keep a lookout for it throughout the week!
-
I see it's approaching the Isle Of Man now.
-
Passes between Lurgan and Portadown and of all days it's wall to wall clouds :(
-
Is it ever near the north coast ?
-
In an earlier post John said it was over Portrush
-
Hi Yes if he routes across e.g. Bangor then Aldergrove he goes out over the North Coast between Portrush and Rathlin.
John
-
Going to have to keep watching the skies here in Bangor then!
-
In an earlier post John said it was over Portrush
apologises casper and john, when i read the post earlier portrush looked like portadown to me ! what can i say expect LONG day at work !!
-
:LOL :LOL Oh I can relate to that.

I'm off on leave Friday and Monday so I'll try and get notification on here ASAP when I find him airborne on the Radarbox. If the weather plays ball we might all get a chance to see him then.

Hi guys re Air France A380 F-HPJA he is airborne but sadly presently staying South routing over Shannon to the States. Too cloudy today anyhow so I'll keep mwatching over the weekend and alert the site if he is this way.

John
-

Just in case anybody is wondering about the Air France A380, it hasn't operated it's flights all week, and has been replaced by a Being 777-300ER. It seems Air France is having large problems with their single A380 as it's giving them almost constant technical delays. The Second Air France A380 delivery has also been delayed until later into February.
-
Just typical whenever the skies are clearer these days ::) .
-
Hi The Airfrance A380 is about to overfly NI. it's route is taking it directly OTT my house here in Bangor. It has just coasted out the IOM at 14.30pm.
John
-
Hi just passed direct overhead 14.33 obscured by cloud sadly.
John
-
Typical - suppose it'll be another 3 or 4 weeks before it's viewable.
-
Hi with much better conditions today, here in Bangor anyhow the A380 is enroute. His present track is a little further South of yesterdays so coasting in around Newcastle and the a route south of Lough Neagh looks to be todays track.
John
-
Just left IOM and still routed s of Lough Neagh.
john
-
He is S edge Lough Neagh now 14.30.
John
-
And here he is :) Straight over my house - just had to look straight up.

It definitely was. I'd just come back from the park with the kids saw your post and then checked its position on FlightStats and Openatc and then stood in the backgarden and waited :)

My wife and I saw it too;didnt have my camera with me as I was charging the battery-missed a C-130K going into Aldergrove about 20 mins earlier as well :(
