I headed down to Dublin last Sunday to collect the girlfriend from the airport, and managed to squeeze in a full day of sunny spotting before her flight arrived in the evening. Even my little 12 year old cousin tagged along to try out some spotting with an SLR for the first time. Impressively, he braved the freezing temperatures for most of the day and managed to get some decent shots.
Below are a selection of some of his shots, I edited them as trying to teach him photoshop at his age is quite a task :)

He also unintentionally managed a panning shot as the last aircraft of our day landed.

He's now saving up for an old Canon 350D/400D, and a 55-250mm lens :) Future spotter in the making!

That's a great last pic he got that perfectly.

Thanks guys, he'll be chuffed to get some shots up onto the internet. For the first half of the day, he used my spare Canon 400D along with my 28-135mm IS USM standard lens. For the latter half of the day he used my Canon 70-200mm F4 along with the 1.5x teleconvter.
As expected, he found fitting the aircraft into the frame difficult but still got a good numbr of keepers. Will take him down to BHD some day when it warms up a bit for further practise.
