SHARES of AirAsia surged after it said an associate planned to make an announcement this week, increasing speculation that South-East Asia's biggest low-fare airline may form a tie-up with Virgin Group and easyJet.
AirAsia shares rose as much as 9.3 per cent to 1.65 ringgit.
