Title: NASA 747SP nocturnal overflights
Post by: smudge on February 20, 2021, 10:28:35 AM
Somewhat academic since the overflights are during darkness, but NASA's N747NA is operating out of EDDK Cologne at present on long looping routes over the Atlantic.  These will continue into March.

A few nights ago it cross the Ards peninsula on the return leg, per screenshot.

What a sound as it went over the Mourne Mountains.

Couldn't see a thing with the cloud and rain, but stood outside listening to it.

Trying to piece together which flights they've flown from FR24, looks like they're about a week behind schedule.

There was a sojourn in EDDH Hamburg from 2021-03-01/04 presumably for some technical work.
