Title: Rare aircraft into Shannon
Post by: Angry Turnip on May 16, 2021, 05:41:38 PM
Just noticed quite a rare aircraft heading into Shannon, an Ilyushin IL-62 MGR of RADA Airlines, as RDA 5073 from Belarus EW-450TR at 4000ft now (1741)
It was built in 1985 c/n 4546257.

Believe it or not, it and 505TR have been flying payloads of Coca-Cola syrup to north and western Africa.  The syrup is made in Ballina, Co Mayo and used to go by ship through Dublin.

They’ve become semi-regulars overnight. Long may it continue as they’re brilliant looking machines.
