Title: Small Airstrip near BFS - RWY25?
Post by: richardnei on April 05, 2022, 07:48:40 PM
I was landing at BFS on Runway 25 the other day and noticed a small grass runway with a wind sock just before the Tully Road. Anyone know what lands on it or what it’s used for? It’s the 1st time I’ve noticed it.

Thanks

Richard

Just looked in Google maps and there's the grass strip with a small single engined private plane sitting on the runway not 100% what it is though

That belongs to my ex-landlord,it took him a few years to get it all sorted and built. as mentioned by others he has G-WMYD and a few other types, most of which are based at Causeway Airfield.
He is an ex-dairy farmer and is/was also heavily into RC aircraft including jets.
