ADSB Exchange has been sold by its owner to Jetnet for a reported $20M US. I think it's fair to say that a lot of people are unhappy. Between those who perhaps justifiably want it to remain open source, those who want payment for their feeds now it's 'going corporate' and those who think it's being taken over by the US/Russians/NWO/Chemtrailers all stating they'll remove their feeds, the new owners might find it tricky to keep the service running in the manner we're accustomed to. There are some reports of DDOS attacks and the map page has been unavailable at various points today, although this could be down to server changes. It'll be unfortunate if its lost as an enthusiast resource.

I would say that for most of us, this is not good news, over the years we have seen a number of high profile Free sites become paid sites, eg Flickr.

Appaerently a lot of feeders have stopped supplying data to them.
globe.adsb.fi is what most people who were feeding ADSB have moved to.

A few new ones have sprung up, using the code that adsbexchange was based on - notably adsb.fi, adsb.lol and adsb.one. Any feeders on here? Would be good if NI feeders could "get on the same page" for better MLAT coverage.....
