Title: USAF Aircraft Noted Without Serials
Post by: Sneaky_Nikon on March 08, 2023, 08:23:37 PM
Interesting piece from Scramble regarding USAF aircraft being seen without serials or unit marks. While we can speculate about the reasons behind it, it has obvious negative implications for areas of the enthusiast hobby, will make modellers lives easier though!

Was noted on UKAR on the 28th of Feb, operational security is the quoted reason.

AMC says the change was directed for operational security.

Bit worrying for the spotters! I wonder if anyone will challenge the legality?
I think the Soviets had a go back in the day when USAF went to lo-vis national marks.

Strange, and all that low viz-grey must make finding downed aircraft more difficult- good for model kit builders mind you, no more 50 Shades Of Grey " cymbal crash "
