I decided not to go over for it having done a number of big Royal flypasts. Mostly due to the official announcement only coming a few weeks ago. Booked Duxford BoB instead. Seeing it on TV I am very glad I didn't go. Out of the hands of the RAF etc but only the Helis and Reds would have been disappointing to see if I had gone over for it.
Poor Charles couldn't look up to see the flypast with the weight of the crown.

Did anyone else get the feeling there wasn't the celebratory atmosphere there should have been? Comparing the jubilee last year to today it seemed rather flat.

Maybe to do with the weather. Maybe some just didn't like Charles and Camilla? I suppose here isn't really the place to surmise

It did seem a lot flatter than the Jubilee, but weather would have played a big part of that. I was in London for it and the atmosphere was amazing, it was bright blue skies and lots of sun.
