Title: Haughey Air at BHD
Post by: Angry Turnip on April 23, 2010, 11:52:09 PM
Anybody recall seeing these two aircraft at BHD back in the bad old days when it was OK to have a private helicopter AND a bizzjet?  :D

G-MGYB EMB-135BJ Legacy and G-EEBB Sikorsky S-76C Spirit.

Belongs to the owner of Norbrook Labs in Newry-from what I hear a difficult man to work for ;)

The Legacy is now in the Middle East, but the S-76 is still based in the UK.

Only saw both aircraft at BHD once.

Edward Haughey (Lord Ballyedmond) is Chairman of Norbrook Labs;he also owned Carlisle Airport before selling it 2006.

Apprently he is top of the rich list for Northern Ireland.

What year are we talking about for those two photos? I think I might have seen them around the first few times I ever went to the airport

From memory it was towards the end of the summer 2007.

G-MYBP was often on the GA ramp and visable from the footbridge.

That would be right because the footbridge was the first place I went to watch them!
