The Ulster Flying Club will be hosting an Aviation Fair at the airfield on Sat 28th August 2010. This event will be open to the public as well as club members. More details to follow.

Saw that on their site recently-sounds like it might be worth a look, especially if they have a candy floss stall. ;D

Sounds interesting! Will have to keep watching!

Anyone got any more information about this??
-
I heard on Saturday it's been cancelled
-
It was a news item on the Ulster Flying Club website but it seems to have disappeared.
-
Plenty of hard work put in by the individual who came up with the idea but not to be this time.
Its a shame cause I was looking forward to a busy days work :'(

It`s very disappointing to hear this event has been cancelled.
Insurance problems I suspect,or some financial worry.
We haven`t had much good news aviation wise here of late.
It`s all very well for those of us that can go to shows in the mainland UK but,for the rest of us Northern Ireland doesn`t appear to have sufficent interest in airshows etc.
Maybe we should make more noise and try to get the Newtownards/Enniskillen Airshow restarted.
I would love to see two or more large airshows in Northern Ireland.
I think the interest is there, but imagination and ultimately funding seem to be the sticking point.
Airshow organisers could maybe try a little more to attract different acts;for example the last time any US military aircraft displayed in Northern Ireland was in the mid 1980`s.
